If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven?

First, you need to know that you are a sinner.

The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Secondly, you need to know that there is a penalty for that sin–death.

The Bible says in Romans 6:23a, “For the wages of sin is death…”

This word death does not mean just dying and going to the grave. It means separation from God for ever and ever in a lake of fire. This is our punishment for our sin and a debt you owe as of right now.

Thirdly, you need to know that Jesus loves you so much that He paid that penalty for you by shedding His blood on the cross for your sins.

The Bible says in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Finally, you need to know that Jesus offers you the free gift of Heaven.

The Bible says in Romans 6:23b, “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Going to Heaven is a gift. It is absolutely free! You cannot buy it, work for it, go to church for it, or be good enough for it. It is absolutely free!

Review.

You know you are a sinner.
You realize there is a penalty for that sin, and you cannot pay for it yourself.
You believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for your sins.

What you need to do.

The Bible says in Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Whosoever means you. We could put your name there. “For [name] shall call upon the name of the Lord and [name] shall be saved.”

Now, if you will trust Jesus to take you to Heaven when you die, just pray this prayer:

“Dear Jesus, forgive me of my sins. I trust you today, Jesus, and only you, to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me. Amen.”

Congratulations!

If you just prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, you can know for sure you are going to Heaven. The Bible says in John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son [Jesus] hath everlasting life.”
